Some help needed for beginner NFL bettor

Hey everyone!

So, with the upcoming NFL season just around the corner I figured it’s time to dip into the betting world. I’ve been a big fan of watching games, but I’ve never actually placed a bet before.

I’m pretty new to this and don’t want to do anything without knowing what I’m doing. Are there any must-know tips for someone just starting out? Whether it’s understanding the different types of bets or avoiding common rookie mistakes, I’d love any advice you seasoned NFL bettors have to share.

Also would appreciate some site suggestions. I’ve heard that some platforms even have dedicated shows or coverage for the NFL season, but I couldn’t find much info on that.

Hey @StrayCat , welcome to the betting side of the NFL! It’s awesome that you’re trying out.

What I would suggest is to always keep it simple. Try to start with basic bets like moneylines (picking the winner) or point spreads to understand the flow of betting. I also like to look up team stats, injury updates, and even weather forecasts. These can all impact game results in surprising ways!

And most importantly, decide on an amount you’re comfortable with and stick to it. Helps keep the fun without the stress. 😊
