This Dubois vs. Parker fight is shaping up to be a real chess match with KO potential. We’ve got Daniel Dubois, fresh off flooring Anthony Joshua four times, going up against Joseph Parker, the guy who just schooled Deontay Wilder. On paper, it’s a banger.
Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) is the heavy hitter here. His record speaks for itself—when he lands clean, fights don’t last long. The dude literally left Joshua staring at the ceiling in September. But Parker? This guy’s crafty. His last fight, he got dropped twice by Zhilei Zhang, but still came back and took the win. His boxing IQ and movement could be a serious problem for Dubois.
For me, this fight comes down to power vs. durability. Dubois' only two losses are to Usyk and Joe Joyce, both guys with insane chins. Parker has one of those too. If he fights smart, uses angles, and keeps Dubois from planting his feet, he could cruise to a decision win—just like he did against Wilder.
That said, if Dubois lands flush, it’s lights out. He’s been on a mission since that Usyk loss, and if he wins here, a rematch with Usyk or even a crack at Filip Hrgovic could be next. Some folks are even floating the idea of Jake Paul one day stepping into real heavyweight competition (lol), but we’re not there yet.
What’s the play? If you like Parker, the decision bet is solid. If you’re backing Dubois, you almost HAVE to go for the KO—his style just doesn’t favor the scorecards.
Who’s putting money on this one? Or are we waiting to see how the BoxRec rankings shake out before making a call?
