So I don’t know if you guys have seen this but there are these Mythical Matchups at Fanduel that let you bet on two teams that aren’t actually playing each other. You could theoretically bet on Michigan vs Ohio St every week if you wanted, basically.
The way it works is it goes by how many points the team scores. So for the UM/OSU game, the spread is set at OSU -21.5 because they have an easier opponent. In order for the Buckeyes to win the Mythical Matchup, they’d have to outscore their opponent by 22 points more than Michigan outscores theirs in order to win.
At least, I think that’s how it works. It’s honestly pretty confusing, but looks hella fun. Not sure if there’s any juice to be had in these, though. What do you guys think?
