I like to pick a specific game - usually in one of the major European leagues - wait until the game is 15 minutes old and then back the favourite to score in the first half if the game is 0-0.
This can work for a number of reasons. But the main reason I don’t tend to back them to score pre-game is that the odds aren’t great. But as the game reaches the 15 minute mark, the favourite is either odds against to score in the first half or very close to it.
Now, of course this bet won’t always win. But if you stream the game and can see where the momentum is, you can win 2 out of 3 bets which, owing to the odds, can keep you in profit.
Sometimes I’ll even back the dog to score if I can see they’ve got all the momentum.
