Saw the WGN headline about Cook County sales tax jumping again, Aug 1. Another squeeze on everything already expensive. Got me thinking about where I'm even parking money anymore—my bank's giving me 0.5% While I'm out here sweating rollover math on promos that at least pretend to beat inflation.
Been running decent lately but the heater's cooling into that familiar hum where you start counting how long until rent snaps you back. Payday bought me breathing room and I'm already watching it disappear into the trap, same as always. Crypto books hit different when you're trying to outrun both the taxman and your own tilt.
Question for anyone actually grinding: you treating crypto as an edge or just another way to lose faster? I'm talking specifically about the speed—no KYC theater til you go big, withdrawals that actually land same-day sometimes. Feels like the only lane where a guy can still move without every transaction getting its pound of flesh.
