Here's a fun little thought experiment I’ve been mulling over: how well would the best poker players in the world do at low-stakes live cash games like 1/2 or 1/3?
It’s fascinating to think about because those stakes aren’t their usual arena. Even though they’d likely have an edge, how much of an edge is the real question.
I’ve read that even really skilled low-stakes players only win around 55-60% of their sessions. Would these pros crush almost every session, or would variance still hit them hard from time to time?
I know BB/hr is probably a more accurate measure than session wins, so how do you think their hourly rate would look? Would love to hear your thoughts!
