Is auto roulette at online casinos rigged?

Alright, so I’ve got a question that’s been bugging me after a brutal session on one of those automated roulette wheels. I was betting randomly between even and odd numbers (outside bets), and I lost 8 spins in a row. Ended up down $1,500 because I kept doubling my bets thinking I’d hit eventually, but nope, didn’t happen. 😑 Now, I’ve read some chatter online that these auto roulette tables might work like a slot machine—basically just RNG with worse odds than a live dealer game? If that’s true, how is this even allowed without some kind of clear warning?

And how do these machines work, anyway? Is it purely random, or is there some tech behind the scenes (magnets or whatever) controlling the outcome? I mean, I’ve seen people talk about rigging, but would a big casino really risk getting caught doing something shady like that? If anyone has real info on how these things operate, let me know. Feels like I fell into a trap because I didn’t feel like sitting at a live dealer table. 😅 Just wanted one good hit, then I was out!
