Just rewatched the Leafs highlights from the February 8 game against the Canucks, and man, that one still hurts. Losing 2-1 in a game where we should've had the edge after Demko left early? Brutal. Kevin Lankinen stepped in and shut us down with 21 saves—did not see that coming.
Morgan Rielly's goal looked great in the NHL highlights, but Brock Boeser's power-play winner in the third period was a dagger. I had a small bet on the Leafs, thinking they’d take advantage of Vancouver’s backup situation, but hockey betting always finds a way to surprise you.
