Mate came through yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it

Not the money itself though that's sitting there too, untouched, which is maybe the weirder part. Mate I borrowed off back in January—proper mate, not just some guy—he texts out of nowhere like "you good?" And I almost lied like normal but something stuck. Told him straight where I was at and he just... Came through. No performance, no making me crawl for it. Felt like someone actually had my back instead of me just solo against the machine like always.

And now I've got this actual breathing room, first time since the year started, and I'm sitting here Thursday night with Marisol asleep in the other room and I'm NOT opening 7Bit. Not yet. Not because I'm strong or whatever just... I want to see how long I can feel this feeling before I mess it up. The "someone's got you" feeling. Usually I burn through found money faster than earned money, you know? Free hit in the wallet feels like it doesn't count so you throw it at anything.

But this hit different. Maybe cos it came from a person not a slot.

Still in the middle of it though, let's not pretend. Money pinch is technically behind me for like five minutes but we all know how fast that flips. The long con of hope, still running.
