I’m all about balance, so I don’t gamble often—but last spring, I went to a horse race with some friends and thought, “Why not place a small bet?” Instead of looking at stats, I picked the horse with the most serene name (because good vibes matter, right?). It lost. Badly.
Lesson learned? Maybe intuition isn’t the best strategy for betting. Still, it was a fun experience. Do any of you actually study horse racing stats, or do you go with gut feeling?
