Being a digital nomad, I’ve played in casinos all over the world, and one thing I’ve learned—every country has its own bizarre gambling rules.
A few months ago, I was in Vietnam, and I found out that locals aren’t even allowed to gamble in casinos—only foreigners can play. Meanwhile, in South Korea, I walked into a casino that looked amazing, only to realize that Korean citizens are banned from playing there too.
Then there’s Australia, where some casinos have strict limits on the number of hands you can play per hour in table games, and Germany, where online slots have forced spin delays to slow down gameplay.
It makes me wonder—are these rules actually helping anyone, or are they just frustrating players? What’s the weirdest casino rule you’ve ever come across while traveling?
