What are your Keno strategies?

Keno is one of those games that seems completely random, yet I can't help but wonder if there's a better way to approach it strategically. I know the odds are firmly against the player, but has anyone here developed a method to at least extend playtime or optimize returns?

Personally, I lean towards picking fewer numbers—4 to 6 max. The payout is obviously lower compared to choosing, say, 10 or more, but I’ve found that hitting at least a few matches consistently keeps the bankroll from evaporating too quickly. Also, I’ve heard some players swear by "hot" and "cold" numbers, but considering the independent nature of each draw, I’m skeptical. Has anyone actually tracked results to see if certain numbers hit more often over time?

Also, any thoughts on progressive jackpot Keno games? Worth the extra risk, or just a flashy way to drain your balance?

Would love to hear how others approach Keno—do you go with gut instincts, set number patterns, or just embrace the full randomness of it?
