Why I stopped chasing casino bonuses (and what I do instead)

I used to be obsessed with casino bonuses. Every time I signed up for a new online casino, I’d go straight for the biggest welcome offer, thinking I was getting an amazing deal. But after years of playing, I’ve realized something—casino bonuses aren’t always worth it.

A few months ago, I signed up for a casino offering a 300% deposit match. Looked great on paper. But then came the wagering requirements—I had to play through my bonus 50x before I could even touch my winnings. It didn’t matter that I was winning decent amounts—until I cleared the requirement, my money was locked.

Then there was the time I hit a solid win on blackjack, only to find out the bonus didn’t count toward table games, meaning all my bets didn’t even help me clear the bonus. That was the final straw.

Now, I focus on casinos with low-wagering or no-wagering bonuses, or I just play without bonuses altogether. It’s honestly been less stressful, and I’ve had more freedom with my bankroll.

Anyone else stop chasing huge casino bonus offers and just play with their own money? Or do you still go for the biggest promotions?
