About the Bet Calculator
The Bet Calculator answers one question: if I stake X at these odds and the bet wins, how much money comes back? Sportsbooks display odds in different formats. American (+150 / −200), decimal (2.50), fractional (3/2). but the underlying math is identical. This tool accepts any common format, converts internally, and shows your total payout, net profit, and the implied win probability of the price.
Use it before placing a bet to confirm the line your book is offering, to compare prices across books that quote in different formats, or to size a stake against a target payout.

Payout vs profit. know which one you mean
Total payout includes your original stake. Net profit is your winnings only. A 100-unit bet at +150 returns a 250 payout (your 100 back plus 150 in winnings). but your net profit is 150. Sportsbook payout columns usually show the total, not the profit. Always double-check which number you're looking at before doing bankroll math.
Decimal odds make this calculation transparent: stake × decimal odds = total payout. Subtract your stake to get net profit. The other formats are stylistic. they all compute the same thing once converted to decimal.
Odds format reference
- American (+150 / −200)
- Positive = profit on $100 stake. Negative = stake needed to win $100. Standard at US sportsbooks.
- Decimal (2.50)
- Total return per 1 unit staked, stake included. Multiply stake × decimal for total payout.
- Fractional (3/2)
- Net profit per unit staked. 3/2 means risk 2 to win 3. Traditional UK / horse-racing format.
- Hong Kong (1.50)
- Net profit per 1 unit staked, stake excluded. Equals decimal odds minus 1.
- Indonesian (1.50 / −2.00)
- American odds divided by 100. Positive ≥ 1 for underdogs, negative ≤ −1 for favourites.
- Malay (0.50 / −0.67)
- Capped between −1 and 1. Positive = underdog (profit per 1 unit), negative = favourite (stake to win 1 unit).
