Editorial policy

What we publish

News & Guides carries short news stories about the gambling industry and sport, and evergreen guides explaining how casino games, odds and bonuses work.

How stories are produced

Articles are drafted with the help of AI tools from published, named sources. Each story names or links the sources it relies on. Our editor, who publishes under the pen name Alex Mercer, reviews every story on the day it is published and edits, corrects or removes it if it falls short of this policy.

Standards

Facts and quotes are attributed to their source, and speculation is not presented as fact. News stories carry no promotional offers or affiliate links. Guides explain how products work and are not financial advice. Each article shows when it was first published and last updated.

Images

Lead images come from openly licensed sources such as Wikimedia Commons and are credited at the end of the article with the author and licence.

Independence

Commercial relationships with operators do not decide what we cover in News & Guides.

Pen name

"Alex Mercer" is the pen name of LeanBackPlayer's editor: one real, accountable person, not a team label or an invented reporter.
