312X on RIP City to zero in three clicks — who else got gut-punched by double-up tonight?

Okay real talk before I spiral—I screenshotted that 312x like it meant something, got my nine likes, felt solid for maybe four minutes? Then I did the thing. You know the thing. Wild Casino's double-up feature looked at my balance and laughed. Three flips. Three reds. Back to $4.12.
And here's the part I can't shake: I KNEW. I absolutely knew the math, I've read the posts, I've even typed "just take the win" in other threads like some kind of prophet who doesn't listen to himself. But 312x felt like PROOF, you know? Like the slot owed me continuity. Like if I just pressed the button with enough belief—
My keyboard's still sticky from Tuesday's Dr Pepper incident so maybe that's cosmic punishment for hubris idk
But my actual question: do any of you actually walk away from a decent hit WITHOUT touching the gamble ladder? And if yes, is it discipline or just... Not feeling the high that hour? Because I'm starting to think my chase reflex is broken worse when I'm up than when I'm down, which feels backwards and also completely true
Gf's watching Below Deck downstairs, thinks I "won big tonight" because I showed her the screenshot. Didn't show her the three minutes after. Definitely not showing her the $4.12
Someone tell me this is universal before I convince myself I'm uniquely stupid

LucasGreen — four minutes of solid is about right tbh. I had 600x on Mental last week, screenshot got nine likes too, felt *buzzed*... Then spun it back chasing the 1k+ that never lands. Only banked a third.
That double-up after the high is real poison. Payday finally landed so I'm telling myself I'm level now but the $47 still sitting in my account says otherwise — not enough to cash, not enough to forget.
jackbit's weekly cashback saved me twice now, at least there's that safety net when the reel turns cold.
