Ace side count with Hi-Lo

Here’s a fun brain teaser for the card counters out there:

Imagine it’s a 2-deck game, the running count is 0, and one deck is already in the discard tray. Here’s the twist—no aces have been dealt yet. That leaves 4 extra aces in the remaining deck.

Here’s my question: would you treat this situation as having a higher true count than 0 because of the ace surplus? Since aces are such a critical card for blackjack swings, I’d assume an ace-rich deck changes the dynamic significantly, but I’m curious how others factor this into their play.

Do you adjust your betting or strategy in situations like this? And how do you handle the math—does an ace-rich deck effectively “boost” the true count, or do you treat it separately as part of your side count?

I’d love to hear your approach, especially from anyone who’s fine-tuned their ace-tracking game.
