Are online gambling sites rigged in the UK?

So, here’s the story—my friend and I got into a bit of a debate over tea (and yes, there were pistachio biscuits involved 😉). She was ranting about how online casinos in the UK are dodgy, saying, “They’re all rigged!” Naturally, I had to jump in because, well, I actually trust UK sites more than most. Why? The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) is insanely strict—like, stricter-than-my-diet strict!

I told her, "Look, the UKGC doesn’t play around. They make sure these sites are audited, use certified RNGs, and follow crazy transparency rules." If a UK site messes up, they face HUGE fines or lose their license entirely. It's not like other countries where some dodgy sites seem to pop up overnight and disappear before you’ve even cashed out.

Her counter? She reckons the UKGC being so tough forces casinos to tilt the odds in their favor. She thinks UK sites "play it safe" and don't let players win much. Her logic was that less oversight abroad means more flexibility for fair wins. Hmm... I don’t fully agree, but I get her frustration when you’re on a losing streak.

What do you all think? Are UK-regulated sites safer because of strict rules, or does that rigidity actually make them feel less fair? Let’s hear it – especially if you’ve played in other countries! 😊

OMG I LOVE this debate!! 🥳 Honestly, UKGC sites feel sooo much safer to me—I mean, who wants their winnings to just poof disappear?? But I kinda get your friend too—losing streaks are the WORST and make everything feel sus. 😅 Have you tried explaining the RNG thing to her?!
