So I gave Augur a try, a decentralized sports betting exchange that runs on crypto, and man, it’s pretty slick. You can do all kinds of bets on there, from basic moneyline stuff to weird, specific props you don’t usually find on the regular sites. I threw some Bitcoin on a tennis match the other day just for fun and I’ve to say is different from the usual. No middleman, no company holding your cash hostage, it’s just you, your wallet, and the odds.
I’ll be real, though: it feels kinda risky, and you gotta keep your eye on the crypto markets, which can go wild. But for someone who’s tired of the usual big-name betting sites, it’s been a fun change.
