Alright, boxing fans, here we go! Gervonta "Tank" Davis is set to defend his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach Jr. on March 1, 2025, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. If you love hard-hitting fights with history behind them, this one’s got all the makings of a must-watch showdown.

Davis is coming in undefeated at 30-0, with an insane 28 KOs. He’s got power, speed, and that killer instinct that makes him one of the most dangerous fighters in the game. The last time we saw him, he put Frank Martin to sleep in the 8th round, proving he’s still at the top of his game. Roach, on the other hand, is stepping up in weight after dominating the super featherweight division. He’s 25-1-1, with 10 knockouts, and just stopped Feargal McCrory last June. No doubt, the guy’s got skills, but can he handle Tank’s power at lightweight? That’s the real question.

This fight has history too. Davis and Roach fought twice as amateurs back in 2011, and both times, Davis came out on top. The first fight was so controversial that USA Boxing even reviewed it, but in the end, Roach still didn’t get the win. Now, he’s got the biggest chance of his career to get revenge—and take Tank’s title in the process.

The undercard is stacked, too. We’ve got Jose Valenzuela defending his WBA super lightweight title against Gary Antuanne Russell, Alberto Puello taking on Sandor Martin for the WBC super lightweight title, and a scrap between Yoenis Tellez and Julian Williams for the interim WBA super welterweight belt. It’s gonna be a hell of a night for fight fans.

If you’re planning to watch, you can catch it live on Prime Video Pay-Per-View, or if you want to be there in person, tickets start at $119 (if you can even find any at this point).

Prediction time—does Roach have a shot, or is this another highlight-reel KO for Davis? My money’s on Tank finishing it before the 9th. What do you all think?

Tank Davis will try to defend his title but I think that Davis is quite formidable, with 28 KOs.. Roach Jr. has a 25-1-1 I think and only 10 KOs… idk if he’ll avenge his amateur losses…

I’ve been looking at the recent odds and see that BetUS has Davis as the favorite with odds of -1500, while Roach Jr. stands at +800. The over/under for the fight is set at 8½ rounds, both at -115. I am quite interested here. However, I am also looking at BetAnySports. It is very versatile from what i can see, and I am tempted by the 25% cash rebate bonus and reduced juice on bets.

BetUS having Davis at -1500 isn’t surprising, but man, I’ve never liked their odds. Always feels like they stack things too heavy on the favorites. If you’re betting the underdog, BetAnySports seems way better—at least they give you a fighting chance.

BetAnySports is way more player-friendly. That 25% cash rebate makes losses hurt less too. BetUS is only good if you wanna donate your bankroll.

People love to hate on BetUS, but honestly, their odds don’t lie. There’s a reason Tank is at -1500—he’s a wrecking ball. If you actually wanna bet smart, you go where the lines make sense. BetAnySports throwing out promos is cute, but I’d rather have solid odds.
