The quiet after the good run

That hum's gone now. Was up proper on GoldenCrown last week, cashed clean, even the missus noticed I wasn't checking my phone at dinner. Three days later and I'm staring at the same screen, same balance, same nothing. The good mood didn't leave any tracks — can't even remember what it felt like, just that it was there.
Bills came in heavier than expected. Son needs something for the Leaving Cert, wife's car, the usual. Nothing catastrophic, just the slow bleed that waits for you to stop looking.
Funny how a win feels borrowed until the debt collector shows up.

That phone face-down like it doesn't exist. I know that dinner.
The hum dont fade — it migrates. Same screen, same balance, but now youre measuring yourself against the *high* balance, not the starting one. Thats the trap that swallowed my 2016. ignition still pays clean inside twenty minutes when I stick to the rule: withdraw the win, play the restaked. Hard reset.
Your missus noticed the quiet. She'll notice the other thing too.
