Looking back at the Portland Trail Blazers vs Phoenix Suns match player stats, it’s crazy how much can change in just a few months. In December 2024, the Suns vs Blazers game ended in a 116-109 win for Phoenix, extending Portland’s losing streak at the time. But fast forward to February 2025, and Portland got their revenge—not once, but twice!
Just this month, Deandre Ayton led the Blazers to a 121-119 OT win, dropping 25 points and 20 rebounds in what might be his most dominant game of the season. The Blazers also took down the Suns 127-108 just two days before that, making it clear they weren’t the same struggling squad from earlier in the season.
It’s been an up-and-down season for both teams, but Portland’s recent success shows they’re figuring things out. If you go back and watch both games, it’s like watching two different teams. Crazy how things turn around in just a few months!
What do you guys think? Is Portland finally clicking, or was this just a hot streak? And can Phoenix fix their issues before the playoffs? Let’s hear it!

So where do both teams stand now?
Portland has been on fire, winning 8 of their last 9 and looking like a completely different team from December. The Suns, on the other hand, are still a strong contender but have had some inconsistency. Kevin Durant, Booker, and Beal are a deadly trio, but Phoenix might need to tighten up defensively against teams that attack the paint. It’s been an up-and-down season for both teams, but Portland’s recent success shows they’re figuring things out.
