Video Poker And Slots Are Basically The Same?

Somewhat of an online casino newbie here. From what I know, poker is supposed to be played against other players, but with video poker, you’re playing against an algorithm, like a slot machine.

So are they just basically the same thing with the casino controlling the payouts?

True, but both have their thrills. Regular poker needs skill; video poker is pure luck, yep. But hey, the payout tables show what you’ll get for each hand, so it’s not totally random…
