What's your worst run in BJ?

A couple of months ago, I was on a weekend blackjack binge after a particularly stressful week at work. Decided to hit up a live dealer game, thinking the interaction would keep me sharp. Spoiler: It didn’t.

It started with a measly $50 bankroll. The cards? Absolute villains. Every ace I got was paired with a 4 or 5. Every 10, a dealer's 21 to rub salt in the wound. The final straw? A double down where I landed on 19, only for the dealer to casually flip over a 20. It was like watching a horror movie, but I was the only one screaming.

Ended up losing the whole thing in under an hour. The worst part? My "strategy adjustments" turned into emotional YOLO bets. A painful reminder that staying calm is the real skill in blackjack.

Anyone else have those “why did I even start?” sessions? Let’s share and commiserate. Misery loves company, right?
