Anyone else hyped for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League 2025? I’ve been digging into the matchups and trying to get a sense of where the betting odds are leaning, especially for clashes like France vs Germany or Spain vs whoever they’re matched against next. This tournament is such a showcase for the top senior women teams, and if the previous years have taught me anything, it’s that anything can happen on the court.
I remember betting on last year’s Women’s Nations League, where I thought I had a lock on France beating the USA in the semis. The odds were pretty decent, and I threw down a good amount—but man, did I get burned when the USA pulled off that insane comeback in the 4th and 5th sets. On the flip side, I scored big betting on Italy during their streak against Brazil; those odds felt like a gift looking back. It’s such a rollercoaster, though, especially with underdogs surprising everyone at times.
This year’s league schedule looks just as competitive, and I’m trying to figure out which teams to trust. France is always strong but inconsistent, and Germany has been a solid underdog, especially when they tighten up their defense. I feel like Spain could be a wildcard too, depending on how they start their early matches.
