so i was in a $1/$2 cash game, sitting on the button with pocket 8s…. on the flop is 8 and 6 both spades and a diamond K…i throw out a half-pot bet, one dude calls… turn comes 9 of spades…now there’s a possible flush and straight on the board, but i don’t budge…i check, he bets big, like 3/4 pot…i call…river card is J clubs… i check, and he shoves all-in…i call, but he shows a flush and i lose.
